John Bordynuik Inc. (JBI) is dedicated to further advancing current data recovery and management capabilities through an active involvement in the academic and scientific communities. In order to nurture these collaborative relationships and present information of use to others in the field, JBI and its clients often take part in academic and professional conferences. In the past, our involvement in such conferences has included:
Last year, John Bordynuik Inc. (JBI) took an active role in the 25th Annual IEEE Symposium for Massive Storage Systems and Technologies (MSST) Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. JBI was a conference sponsor and several of its employees were in attendance. During the conference, John Bordynuik, the President/CEO of JBI, gave the presentation “Magnetic Media: Proven Method for the Retention & Recovery of Data.” For more information, visit: http://storageconference.org/2008/.
JBI hopes to again sponsor and attend the 2009 IEEE MSST conference.
JBI’s long-time client, NASA, made a presentation at the American Geophysical Union meeting, held in San Francisco in December 2008, that showcased JBI’s data recovery work. The presentation included information and images JBI had recovered from the High Resolution Infrared Radiometer (HRIR) of the Nimbus II satellite, which recorded the earth’s temperatures in 1966. At the meeting, NASA displayed a large poster that included images and data recovered by JBI, which is considered vital to future global warming research and studies.
